Zach was having a great summer; daily walks through the woods and running around with Charlie. This all ended abruptly when Zach seriously injured his back-right leg. An Orthopedic surgeon was consulted. He said shelties are prone to this type of injury. As soon as he heard that Zach was a sheltie, he knew the injury was one of 2 things. Unfortunately, it’s the more serious injury which will require extensive surgery to rebuild his ankle. Zach doesn’t appear to be in any pain. The vet calls him stoic. Zach hops around on 3 legs. The surgery was very successful (see x-ray).
